About

The Rock and The Revival, Inc. is a Detroit-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose name and foundation come directly from the Word of God. We are named for the unshakeable Rock — the Lord himself, who is our fortress and deliverer (Psalm 18:2) — and for the revival of soul and spirit that God's law makes possible (Psalm 19:7).

Like the church built upon the rock in Matthew 16:18, we believe no hardship, no history, and no gate of hell can prevail against a person anchored in community, purpose, and stable ground. So we provide affordable shared housing, workforce development, vocational training, and technology education — practical tools of revival for veterans and individuals facing some of life's hardest seasons.

We are not just a housing program. We are a revival movement — working block by block, household by household, to see Detroit's most vulnerable residents rise into stability, wholeness, and joy. The Rock holds firm. The Revival is happening!

MISSION

Rooted in faith and built on the unshakeable foundation of God's Word, The Rock and The Revival exists to bring housing, healing, and hope to veterans and individuals experiencing hardship in Detroit — because we believe revival begins when people have a place to stand.

Upon this rock, I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." — Matt 16:18

A Detroit revived — where every soul, no matter how worn down, is met with the refuge of God's love expressed through stable housing, restored dignity, and renewed purpose. We press forward until our communities rejoice again.

Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?" — Psalm 85:6
